13. Discipline:

The student's shall cooperate with the principal in maintaining strict discipline in the institution. The executive orders of the principal shall not be violated. The principal shall have authority to punish any offense by fine, suspension and even rustication in case of serious offence. Apply against the order the rustication, shall vest with the director general, and his decision shall be final, irrevocable and binding.

Immediately after the theory examination student shall visit trade premises assigned to him/her by the principal for factual in-site infection such as eating houses, bakery, stables, sweet-meat shop, Aerated factory etc. student shall complete this assignment and submit the report to the principal for assessment.


The student shall appear for 4 periodic test (unit test) in a year before the final examination in addition, the student shall also complete project work assigned to them. The marks secured by the students in the periodic unit tests and project work shall be considered for the final examination under practical as per details below:

a) Homework: Students shall answer minimum 4-model question paper and the students shall be assessed on the basic of his/her answer paper. 20 Marks

b) Unit test: Student shall appear for 4-unit test in a year. 3 out of unit test (best of 3 tests) where student secure shall be considered for final exam. 30 Marks

c) Field work: Student shall record his/her observation of the relevant subject taught/demonstrated at the time of field visit to water complex, milk diary, Hospital, Office of the medical officer health and other ruler primary health center etc. every such visit must be got attested on the vary same day or next day by the principal or faculty member in his absence. The principal shall assess student with appropriate marks on the basic of his/her presentation contents of the field visit/ demonstration. 50 marks

d) Graph/sketch book: student shall present minimum 25 drawing/sketch of the subject taught student shall be assessed by the principal for the quality drawing/sketches and the explanatory notes. 30 Marks

e) Project works: After completion of the field visit student shall attend to the project work assigned to him/her by the principal. The students are required to report to the Officer in charge of the respective project. The student shall survey the assigned project in detail and analyze the merits and demerits of the project assigned. Students shall prepare project report and submit the same to the principal through the concerned Officer of the project. 20 Marks

Practical –Journal: Student shall maintain one practical zonal where he /she shall record all different components of practical viz. Home work, Field visit, Graph/sketch and Project work

IV) ORAL VIVA VOCE: Student shall appear for the oral examination before a panel of 4 examiners. Students shall be assessed on the basic of his/her performance during the viva. 200 Marks

15. Examination centers: No change of examination center for S.I. course (Annual or supplementary) shall be permitted. Under any circumstances. Student undergoing the S.I. course at one particular center shall have to appear for the examination at the same center.

16. Marks required for passing & grading in the final exam:

i) The student must secure 30 % of marks in each individual written paper and 40 % of marks in aggregate in all the paper and 50 % in practical and oral examination. However a candidate must secure 50 % of total marks in aggregate t pass the examination.

ii) If the student 60%of the aggregate marks, he will be declared to have passed in 2nd class and the candidate who secure 70 % mark in the aggregate, will bee declared to have passed in the first class.

iii) A student who secures 60% marks, in any theory paper, and yet fails in the examination, we will granted exemption for that particular paper in subsequent examination.

17) Final examination:

Date of the annual examination shall be put up on the notice board respective center well in advanced. Normally, annual examination shall be held during 3rd week of May every year.

18) Examination for Repeaters:

i) supplementary examination for repeaters shall be held in October- November every year at Ahemdabad, Belgaum, Bhopal, New Delhi and Mumbai centers. Forms for supplementary examination shall be accepted at all centers up to 30 days from the date of declaration of the annual examination at Mumbai.

ii) The student who fails in the examination will be allowed to appear as a repeater without keeping fresh terms on payment of fresh examination fees of Rs.400/- only for the examination provided he has submitted all the necessary records of practical and class works as mentioned in the examination scheduled under the heading "Practical" during the regular course.

iii) Student declared unsuccessful in the examination and scores less than 50% marks in the practical shall have to repeat the 2nd term and also repeat the practical work such student shall pay registration fees of Rs. 100/- and fees of Rs. 3500/- for the 2nd term.

19) Examination results:

The results of the examination will be declared within 75 days from the last day of examination. The result will be declared at each center. The consolidated mark sheet and individual marks card of the students will be sent to their respective centers from where thy have appeared for the examination.

20) Verification of Marks:

Reaccessing/ revaluation of answer papers should not be permitted in any circumstances. However, students who desire to get the marks retotaled shall apply within 2 months from the date of declaration of the result along with mark sheet and fees of Rs.100/- per towards retotaling charges in demand draft.

*Assessment of socioeconomic and demographic profile of the population and common health problems. Calculation of Birth, Rate, Death Rate and indicates.

* The students will work for minimum 3hours per day for the survey over a period of 20 days. Thus, 6o hours are utilized. The student may be posted for 10 days each in rural and urban areas, attached to the P.H.C/S.C., or Health post respectively.

This can be done in any month, after the completion of topics (theory and practical) of paper I. Also, It is during this period that the student can adopt a family for follow-up for 6 months.
